EG window weather stripping is peeling
Hey guys I've searched and couldn't find any results but here's my question.
On a good amount of civics and as well as mine, the weather stripping where the front doors are is starting to peel.
It's the black section that separates the bottom of the window and top of the door.
here's the exact piece I am talking about
How can I strip/replace it?
The clips seem to be set in there good so I would have to break each clip but can they be replaced?
also is there any product I should re-spray the piece with? black paint? rubberized paint?
thanks

Re: EG window weather stripping is peeling (Mr.RHTuner)
i always bought my outter door weather stripping new from the dealership or found good condition ones from the junkyards only if they're nice enough to part it from the door itself.
1. take off your inner door panel
2. take off your outter door b pillar garnish
3. pop off the weather stripping from the inside of the car outwards

theres 2 way of doing this one replacing them. But there 70 dollars at the dealer. or you can take them off and strip them/ paint them.
To remove them just role down the window and start from the side without the mirror and up up on just the strip. The plastic clips are strong so just pull. then do what you want to them and replace them by starting at the mirror. Hope this helped. Enjoy!

I think he means that piece next to the piece you highlighted... the vertical piece at the end of the door near the rear quarter windows...
If its completely worn out, where it's all silver... i heard you can try painting them... not sure though

the part is actually supposed to be a rubber-type coating on the metal.
At least that's what mine look/feel like. I replaced mine with new ones honda.
I've always wondered if that rubberizing tool handle dipping crap would work the same.... if you can find it in black that is.

Re: (DxHatchback)
TTT again
today I tried to replace the driverside window molding and it's near impossible
I pulled on it gently but feel like i will bend the molding
I tried to get it free from the inside of the door and the plastics look like once they break then they aren't replaceable
