eg will not start! Help installing turbo next week
I have had this car for 9 years and I swapped it with a GSR about 7 years ago with no problems! I attempted to start it last week and the engine turns (I've already took off valve cover to see if the timing belt was ok cams and crank turn and checked to see if any teeth were missing, belt is in good condition), main relay is ok, clicks 3 times, checked ecu (used three different ecu's from friends cars that are running and checked ecu fuse I replace it with a new fuse the first fuse was ok) tested the dizzy coil tested ok and igitor tested ok (I also used a friends dizzy from a running car still no spark) checked for fuel and the fuel pump is works (primes), also check to see if injectors had power each recieving 12v, battery has 13.2v, starter turns strong, checked starter signal fuse it was ok but changed anyways, checked and cleaned the thermostat ground and trans ground, I also purchased new NGK spark plug wires and plugs also checked cap and rotor in good condition. Oh and I do not have a check engine light and I have cleaned the throttle body. Any help or suggestions would be great!! Planning on going turbo next week as soon as I solve this problem and recieve my top mount from Full Race.

sorry didn't read it all. seems you have a crank position sensor out or a cam position sensor out cause that is what tell the dizzy to spark.

If you don't have 5V at one of the terminals of the MAP sensor connector, then check whether that wire has a short in it or lacks continuity between the MAP sensor connector and the ECU.

I've used two different dizzys, isn't the crank position senor and the cam position sensor in the dizzy? I will try the other two wires in the map senor for a short tomorrow. Whats the best way to check a short?

Disconnect the both the MAP sensor connector and the relevant ECU connector. The MAP sensor terminal at either end will have continuity to ground if there is a short.

Well if its getting a constant 12v then its either a bad dizzy or something is not telling the dizzy to fire or where to fire so its just spinning and not throwing a spark. Has to be a sensor and the only sensor that sends spark is the crank sensor.

I haven't checked to see if the rotor or coil has spark cause I had the coil tested at autozone its good and I have used 2 dizzys from working cars and they did not work.

well thats telling you that the ECU or Crank sensor is not telling the dizzy when & where to spark.

I've changed ecu's 3 times from 3 working cars. I am going to check to see if there is a short from the MAP sensor to the ecu.
