eg w/ gsr runs but randomly dies
So my gsr engine had the exact same problems 2 weeks ago, it would start and run but will completly randomly die. The first solution was the screw on the rotor in the distributer was missing since it somehow fell out, but now the screw is still there holding the rotor in place and its doing the samething. Its also throwing a cel 15 ignition output signal. Would a new cap and rotor fix the problem or is it gonna be more since the code 15? Any feed back would be perfect.
Iv checked plugs all the simple stuff so iv done some research too, we tested the fuel pump too and its working fine.
Although when i checked the plugs the one on the far left(closest to dizzy) seemed to miss a spark every so often, Could the way the rotor was sitting in there unbolted damaged it in a way so the connection is bad?
I cleaned all the connections in the dizzy this morning and all the wires looks perfectly fine, and i started it and let it warm up and it ran for atleast 20 minutes and didnt die. I know the problem will occur again, its always so randomly.
Now iv got a new cap and rotor, ignition coil, and ignition control module and problem still occurs.
50 views and not one persons feed back please help
I'm just stumped
Thanks
