i have an eg vx and i put a b16 in and a p28ecu auto . i was told it would run fine except for chk engine lite. well it does run but the idle surges up and down and when its cold and i start it , it will rev and hold 2500rpm till it warms up and then it will surge up and down btwn 800rpm and 1500rpm. would the auto part of the ecu cause this and is there a way for me to convert the auto p28 to a manual easily? am just wanna know what the best route is.

you need a manual ecu and re-pin the o2 sensor from 5 wire to 4 wire

There's a way to convert, you'll need to be good at desoldering and soldering. Search for how to do it.

how do you convert from 5 wire to 4wire o2 sensor? i searched but all ifound was how to do it with a gsr harness. i used the vx harness
