EG steering wheel question
I have a 93 Civic EX Coupe.
I want to chnage the steering wheel but I am not sure as what steering wheel fit. For some reason I have an Integra DC2 steering wheel on right now. I recieved the car like that.
My question is what steering wheel can I use?
I am looking into the EP3 & RSX style steering wheel.
What do I need to do to make it all work?
I tried to do a little bit of research but had no luck. Any info will be appreciated.

RSX steering wheels and EP3 steering wheels have different splines on the column, so that's a no go. What you can do though is buy an NRG short hub for your car.... then you'll have a large variety of aftermarket steering wheels you can choose from.

Seems like a lot of trouble and money for a steering wheel. If you're going to spend the money to do all that, and you want a Honda racing wheel, try to score a JDM ITR MOMO steering wheel. They come in both SRS and non-SRS forms. The SRS models are expensive, but they look and feel great. Way better than stock.

Just bringing up alternative options to the OP. The wheels I brought up are completely different animals than the stock Honda or Acura wheels. Fail to see the irrelevence, but whatever.

I believe I read before that it's possible to swap in a 6th Gen Civic steering column to open up more options for genuine Honda steering wheels.... this is just from the depths of my memory, though ... you really should do some research.
Incidentally, there was a time when I fit a 91 Prelude wheel onto my 5th Gen Civic. Cruise buttons even worked. Took some customizing, but I was happy with the final result. My vehicle does not have SRS so dealing with an airbag was not an issue.

"GTFO"? That's a pretty immature attitude. Perhaps we both interpreted the OP's post differently. I see you didn't quote the first half of the post above, but it is relevant to give context and interpretation to the question. I will annotate the OP's question to improve comprehension.
Suggests he is looking for steering wheel options and probably wants to know what's available out there for his 5th Gen Civic.
So he doesn't have the original OEM wheel. Possibly he's not happy with it? In any case, he wants something else.
Note that I have bolded some key words above, notably the terms "looking into" and the term "style". The way I interpret this is that "looking into" implies he has not made any firm decisions regarding the type of wheel he'll be purchasing, but he is interested in the EP3 and RSX "style" of wheels. Coupled with the sentence beforehand, however, it's possible he's opening the door for options and suggestions.
Finally, he is not, as you state, asking "what he needs to make those steering wheels work", he is asking what he "needs to do to make it all work" - implying that he'd like to know generally what will need to be done to fit any given steering wheel onto his Civic.
Note that he indicates that he will appreciate "any info" on this topic. This probably includes advice, such as in your own first post on this thread, where you discourage him from those specific EP3 and RSX wheels due to the different steering column splines. You then go on to suggest aftermarket alternatives, which strikes me as helpful. But ... when another poster suggests another alternative wheel, (which is arguably in an EP3-ish "style"), you say it has nothing to do with the OP's question. This strikes me as confusing.

im looking to upgrade my old 4 prong wheel for a 3 prong, srs, cruise wheel. I want to be able to simply bolt it up. and i'm not worried if the wheel will cost 300$+

hey, fungus mungus, is this wheel plug and play on a 94 eg with srs and cruise, or does it require a 96+ spline?

To answer your question, the ITR SRS wheel is a direct bolt on, spline-wise. The CTR wheel is NOT, so be careful when looking for this wheel. I'm pretty sure you'll lose cruise control with that wheel as there's no facility for it. What I did was downgrade my clockspring to a non-SRS unit, swapped the connectors so that it would plug into the airbag of the ITR wheel, and I was good to go. Not exactly plug-n-play, but not terribly difficult.
I can get you an ITR wheel if you need...lmk if you're interested.

I'm pretty sure you'll lose cruise control with that wheel as there's no facility for it. google has a tendancy to bring things back from the dead. honestly, i'd prefer cruise over airbag. but, there's NO way to use my original clock spring and just mount my cruis control buttons to the side of the wheel? also, i was reading where someone depinned the dc2r airbag connector and hooked up the eg airbag connector nd all went fine. i thought all dc2 integras as well as civics had 1 step airback deployment and only the newer ones had 2 step..?
