EG Rear Disc Conversion Question (Pictures Inside)
I went to a shop yesterday and I took to them what you see below. I have a 93 3DR DX w/ Drums. I was under the impression that I could use the trailing arms off of the DX. He adv me that I couldn't. He said there was no where to mount the calipers(???).
PLEASE HELP I need to know what I am missing. Here is the picture of everything I have.

I can't see the pic (firewall at work blocking most host sites), but yes you need the rear disc trailing arms.

I'm not sure if you can do it without the "rear disc" trailing arm.

He has basically everything besides the trailing arms...(rotors, calipers, brake lines, proportioning valve, dust covers, and i think e-brake cables)

yes sir, you need Disc trailing arms to do this. other than that looks like you have it all. i would get some steel braided brake lines from goodridge, or Russell.

Re: (tuned2)
i read (theres a DYI out there) that states that you dont really need the arms, you just need the WHOLE hub..i dont see a part for where the calibers screw into though, unless they bolt to arm (cant remember )
im sure u just removed the 4 torque screws and the large bolt in the middle behind the original arm those disk came from, and walked away..if not look at another car and check this.
...its just easier with them..that bastard at the shop just doesn't wanna work..
Im gonna do the same this week end...i have the whole arm..just one is bent, supposedly

all you need is the hub, but you can use your factory trailing arm.
There is 4 or 5 Torx bolts on the back of the hub that hold it to the trailing arm, undo them and you can just bolt it onto your trailing arm that's on the car already

Maybe a noob question but the hub is in my picture right ?
I thought I could use my trailing arms that is why I was a little confused when the guy at the shop said I needed trailing arms also.

no you dont... i did my disc brake conversion.. using the one del sol drum trailing arm and my cx hatchback drum trailing arm.. the torx bits on one of the arms was rusted too bad even an impact wouldt get them off.. all the others i used a breaker bar.. no prob...
all you need to do is change the spindle and the bracket.. i should have done a writeup but didnt have a camera handy...
you need the spindle and everything that holds the caliper.. the e brake cables and brake lines

Re: (riceburnerryan)
I just checked the rotors and yes they are 4x100.
Correct me if I am wrong. RED=Caliper bracket, GREEN=Spindle.

From the looks of your pictures you already have the caliper brackets they are with the calipers, but you need both rear spindles. Good luck finding just the spindles.
