Default EG rear brake question...

Well, search didn't help much so here i am. I found a brake setup from a 98 integra for $75 and it includes 4 calipers, 4 rotors, and all the brackets and such. Now my question is, is it possible to put the rear disk on my original trailing arm form the civic hatch? Can you just replace the hub with an integra one to make it disk brake? let me know what the easiest way of doing this swap will be with out replacing the whole trailing arm.

Also the fronts will just bolt up right? Thanks.....

replaceing the hub is a bitch. you would be much better off getting the LCAs they will handle better anyway

is there a website that shows this process. My bro is a mechanic so tools and stuff are no problem. I just want to know if it could be done and maybe the price of the hubs for an integra.

Does the set you're buying include the trailing arms and steering knuckles? "Brackets" is a little unclear. What else is there??

You don't strictly need the trailing arm, just the spindle, but the swap is like 10 times easier with it. Also you might want to consider getting the LCA's off the 'teg so you can put a rear swaybar on; even the dinky 14mm bar from an LS makes a hell of a difference.

the hub spindle that is held on with torx bolts was never really ment to be removed, honda does not sell the spindle separate from the trailing arm. Thus they will be very hard to get off, and there is no chance getting replacement bolts for it if you destroy any in the process

I'm running into bolts from hell on my rear trailing arms......
If it were me, I would just cut the bolts on the trailing arms, and get new hardware from the parts dept. of a local Honda dealer; that's what I had to do when I put my 'teg LCA's on for the swaybar (access to compressed air came in real handy then!). I had my brake conversion done by a shop that used the existing spindle, but they told me it was a real PITA and well beyond my own comfort zone of working on my own car...
