Default EG power window switches dead?

my friends coupe's window switches just don't work anymore.. he checked the fuses and everything and I was wondering if anyone has had any problems with this.. Like what could I check? and if anyone has a passenger side window switch.. let me know.

I think the easiest suggestion would be process of elimination in attempt to find where the problem is. I would suggest attempting to borrow a switch from another friend or individual first to see if it is something as simple as a switch. Has he anything else in the car sudden stopped working that might correlate to this problem? If it's not the switch I would suggest checking the relay, then the wiring, since the fuses have already been tested and/or checked.

Check and see if there is any carbon build up on the contacts for the switches!

isn't it just a clip. that clips on.? what about if the passenger side isn't hooked up.. would that make a difference?
