My 93 EG hatch (dx auto) parking brake light always on? I checked the switch on the hand brake its self no problem there. I am assuming I have a wire shorted some where but was just curious if someone has had the same problem. Any Ides??

I'm assuming it's your "BRAKE" light on the cluster. Check your brake fluid it may be low.

Check the fluid level in the reservoir like kaiba said, also check that the float in the reservoir isn't stuck in a low position giving a false reading of low fluid. Only other thing is the brake switch you already checked. Doubt it's a short.

If break fluid is low, then the break pads might need to be changed. Check them before refill break fluid.
