EG Owners with Stock Honda CD Players
I've seen ppl on here that have 99-00 Si CD players in their EG's or Type r/S2000 CD players. How do u get them to work, if the harness plugs are different? I have a 99-00 Si player I want in EG but no luck yet.

umm you have to use an adapter harness. Y not just get a radio that plugs in there? If its for the amber, my bro has a 98 prelude radio in his EG and its amber and it plugs right in.

I think that the '99's would not work because the plug would be different but what do I know. I would sell that sucker and buy yourself a nice Alpine headunit...clean, green and silver, and puts down the power.

just cut the harness off. the colors for civics didnt change for the radio that i know of. you can just look up the color codes online and splice them all. http://www.installdr.com should have all the wire info you need. just cut the wire, solder and heat shrik tubeing or electrical tape em up. bling

Yes you will need a harness for the EG and a reverse harness for the newer style plug. I am an installer at Best Buy, and I helped a freind put a radio out of a S2000 in his DA teg, he had to run an illumination wire from the clock though becasue the EG harness doesn't have one.

I have just recently installed a civic si cd player in my EG , It was easy.... Just use or get the factory harness that comes out of the back of it, and match the wires from that harness to your stock harness...
