EG overheating/hot restart problem
I have a 93 EG hatch, D16Z6 was swapped in by previous owner. I've noticed during the winter this car is great, I can make multiple stops {ie. shopping, traffic} with no problems. During the summer however this car's temp gauge never gets to half, even though the air coming out of the vents is very hot. The problem usually starts if I stuck in a traffic jam; the car will start to buck and eventually idle down and die. It will not re-start until sufficiently cooled. Also if I go to lunch and leave the car in a sunny spot, it will not restart. What causes this? Is this a common problem? I did buy a coolant temp sensor but haven't installed it yet, I did notice during idle the fan never kicks on.

Re: EG overheating/hot restart problem (batallic)
I googled main relay and found a wealth of information, I don't think I will end up changing the CTS, rather go out and buy a new main relay. Maybe two, one for a back up. Thanks.
