Would it be practical to cover these with a grille since I plan on getting the 3 piece grill set, or could I paint the covers black to match my car?

i dont have the fog lights personally but have seen them and dont think that a grill will cover them up and still look good.. i would definatly paint them to the same color as the car if i bought them, that silver, chrome color sticks out to much..

They are exactly the same as factory, even with plugs to plug into the fuse box. They come in either clear lense or iron crystal (yellow)

I'd have to cut the bumper correct?

Yes you will have to cut the bumper on the two sides inorder to fit in the fog lights, the bumper already has the marks for you to see where to cut, also the instruction tells you where to cut, you just have to use a heavy duty to cut, it is very easy and you can install yourself as long as you know how to remove the bumper.
