EG or LS Intake
I have a 93 EG8 with an LS Swap. I was looking to put a stock intake back in. Curious if I could use an EG intake/airbox or would I have to use the LS setup? I know it might be a noob question but i wasn't sure and I already searched and couldn't find an answer. Thanks all and happy driving

Re: EG or LS Intake
I think you have to use the LS intake but I may be mistaken. It just has to fit over the trottle body so other than that, if you can get the original EG intake to fit then you're good haha. But I'm 100% sure you either have an OEM LS intake manifold with the OEM trottle body or an aftermarket one specific for the B18.

I believe you must use the B-Series intake manifold, but you should be able to use the EG airbox. I'm pretty sure that the intake pipe is the same size, so it'll bolt up to the throttle body. However, i'm not entirely sure. Try it out yourself and post up your results.

Re: EG or LS Intake
The airbox is the same as any other one, its just the intake tube thats different (ends of the tube are all the same size, but the D-series versions have bell shaped end, SiR/Del Sol VTEC are the same size from end to end.

Re: EG or LS Intake
Im not 100% sure as well, but i think you can use the stock eg intake on your ls motor, if everything fits then you should have no problems, in my opinion they have the same purpose and they look similar.. but to be on the safer side, might as well get the stock ls one.. PICK N PULL!! lol
