Eg lca and ek lca
1 Attachment(s)
I have a DX civic and got a SI sway bar and have DX lower control arms i would have to get EX/HX LCA. But i cant find some at my local junk yard.
So i bought some some LCA from a 1994 ex but just the rear part where the sway bar mounts. So before i try fitting them to my DX LCA does anybody know if this will work? |

Re: Eg lca and ek lca
You don't want to do this anyway.
The 26mm Si/CTR front bar is the worst "modification" of all time, unless for some reason you actually enjoy lifting the front inside wheel and smoking the inside tire to oblivion while going nowhere as you apply power exiting a corner. The '92-95 OE 21mm front bar is the best front sway bar for the '92-00 chassis IMHO. And by the way, it would have taken you less time to actually attempt fitting the control arm sections together than to take/edit/upload that photo and create this thread. |

You don't know why i am using this sway bar. You don't know if i have a heavy motor under the hood. You need to go back to UTI.
I had one with a heavy engine in a heavy car already. It sucked. I removed it. The car put down power and handled better without it. Physics doesn't lie. Reality > bench theory. |
Re: Eg lca and ek lca
if you going to run a font sway bar, then your are going to need ex/si forks, ex/si LCA. the stock dc/cx forks will not fit on ex/si lca's, they are not wide enough. i did the swap to my ej6. oh make sure you use the blots from the ex/si, cause the dx/cx ones are to short. i hope this helps.

Re: Eg lca and ek lca
I wouldn't use it, it appears they might be different and you don't want to mess with your alignment.
Can you find 99-00 Si LCAs? (Assuming you have an EK) |
Re: Eg lca and ek lca
Well I guess the si sway bar is for cus I weight about 320 pounds and have a gsr motor

Re: Eg lca and ek lca
WTF?
OP: Be clear. Fill out this form I have (insert year/model of civic here) I have a sway bar from (insert year/model of civic here) I have LCAs from (insert year/model of civic here). If you have a 99-00 Si bar, you can only use it on 96-00 civics with 99-00 civic Si LCAs, swaybar links, and shock forks. |
