im pretty sure the blue piece is what makes it so vibrantly blue. I would swap that over too if it fit.

just use the jdm climate control face and the jdm bulbs... they should have an amber cover... no blue cover

the only reason the jdm ones are amber is b.c. the nipples(covers) are amber and the usdm ones are blue. You sure you got the jdm cc?

It'll probably still be amber. If it's like the guage cluster, there's a filter, so as long as the bulbs are bright enough the color won't matter.

BTW- If you do need amber bulbs you can probably get them at a local auto parts store. You don't need "jdm" ones.

Not all JDM ones are amber. Only SIR (EG6)models are amber. So you can get played by someone selling a JDM one that was truly shipped from Japan (hence real JDM) but came off of a non-SIR like a VTI/MX/etc. I see so many "real JDM" this and that which is mostly not.....

If it's like any other JDM switch type of thing, the actual face filters the light to become amber. I have a JDM foglight and rear defroster switches. I know the bulbs are clear, however the light shone through the face is amber.

Are you sure about this? The Vti gauge cluster is amber so I don't see why the CC wouldn't be too.

all i know is that my ferio one came with clear bulbs and it was shipped directly from japan. you can buy EK si climate control bulbs for 3 something a piece at the dealership. They're called Neo Wedge Bulbs. Just switch over the condoms, The amber will be dark though.

Yes I am sure if it is JDM. I don't know about other countries but I live/grew up here in Japan and the Vti cluster is not amber unless someone changed out the bulbs/made it amber. Only SiRs were all amber inside (guage/climate/clock). I have owned in the past pretty much at least one of each (MX/Vti/Si/SiR) and SiRs are the only ones amber.

Yup for the JDM EG6 SiR CC it's just the bulbs that make it amber... I swapped out my stock cluster/cc for the JDM EG6 SiR/CC about 2 weeks ago and all it was, was taking off the usdm face place+bulbs and putting on the jdm face place+bulbs and wahh lahh JDM amber baby!
