EG help rear disc brake upgrade??
i want to know what will i need for a rear disc brake upgrade. i found a parts car someplace thats a 1994 acura integra 4 door. will this fit in my 95 EG vx hatch???
im thinking of getting the rear trailing arms whole assembly w/rotor disc brakes hub etc. will the 4 door integra rear bolt up to my eg and how about the parking brake cables etc, brake lines. i want to know if it will bolt up its a 4door integra. do i have to major mod anything i heard its pretty easy but idk its my first time doing it.
and for the rear brake upgrade is it do i have to change anything like my master cylinder, booster???what else.. will this be safe etc in doing this upgrade... do i need to do an alignment later.
and with the rear disc brake upgrade do i have to also upgrade the front brakes??
did anyone ever did a rear disc upgrade only and not upgrade the front what are some pro and cons in doing this upgrade...
is this any diffrent...
pls let me know thanks....

Re: EG help rear disc brake upgrade??
here what you need
Rear disc calipers ~ $30-60
Rear disc rotors ~ $40-45
Rear pads~ $25
40/40 prop valve ~$15-30
ATLEAST A 15/16 master cyclinder (get it off a 1991 civic 4dr, this way it bolts on without any work) ~ varies but try ebay, junk yard, or any place that sells cheap honda replacement parts
get 99-01 SI parking brake cables ~ $75 brand new
get the Scardbird rear brake caliper adapter from here http://www.scarebird.com/index.php?id=43
that should be everything you need, YOU DO NOT NEED TO CHANGE YOUR REAR TRAILING ARMS!!!!! use the scarebird adapter.

Re: EG help rear disc brake upgrade??
Yes everything will fit on your car almost everything DC integra meaning 94 an up will fit eg 92-95 civic. If you have a parts car just remember its better to take more than needed just in case you run into any issues with bad parts or needing parts off the parts car still.
Make sure you get the e-brake cables an make sure you get the rear brake soft lines dnt cut them you will need them.
Also you dont need the 40/40 porportioning valve some say it will make your setup stiffer an such but honestly when i did mine i didnt put the 40/40 on right away cause i had to order it an i cant tell the difference..
Also get the brake booster itll be wise to go to a 15/16 master cylinder an such.
An you should do the fronts to the integra has bigger front brakes
An sway bars to if you wanna stiffen your car up around the corners an if you do dnt forget front an back lcas
