EG Hatchback b18 swap auto - takes forever to build torque
I've been looking but can't find the solution. I have a 1995 Civic Hatchback with a b18b engine swap w/ turbo. Engine works fine, car sounds amazing, but the tranny robs it of all power. It's an automatic, and when I put it in drive it takes forever to build torque. If I put in in low and manual shift it works a little bit better, but not the greatest. It also has no reverse.it just makes a super loud whining noise. Well, after a while if you keep trying it goes but that's rare. Any advice? I heard it might be the torque converter? But the tranny worked just fine in the donor car (1995 Integra). Any tips? How much will this cost to fix? was it just a simple **** up during the swap ?

Just put a 5 speed in it...seriously. Auto hondas are embarrasing to begin with, adding a turbo to it just compounds the situation. That torque convertor wasnt made to handle that setup. There is a reason there are no "race" torque converters for hondas...

I have a client with a turbo A/T accord. Tranny was built by a reputable racing shop with a custom converter. The engine it's only piston rod combo
cast mani. and .60 trim turbo. Running low boost 8-10psi it's fine but once you turn the high setting. The tranny start overheating, slipping and change weird and it have a mother of tranny cooler.
Besides from the stock in one year more or less I replaced two times the modified tranny.
