EG hatch/Z6 Swap - shift linkage installation problems
Hey Honda tech am doing a z6 swapp and I bought a shift linkage off of Craigslist (iwas told it was d series linkage) i put the shifter though the whole and bolt down the two bolts now when it's time to put it on the tranny I doesn't let me do There's no slack, do I have to first connect it to the tranny then put the pin in then push it up in the car and bolt the two bolts down? I had a b16a2 shiftlinkage and comparing them both there different so help plz guys. Thanks

D- and B-series linkages are different by some amount of length and maybe a bend, I don't remember. We do though, need to know what car you have and what the shift linkages you bought are for. There are differences between chassis, coupes, and sedans.

Yes I compared the two and the single cam linkage is different it looks correct but am wondering if I have to first connect it to the tranny then bolt it down. The guy told me it was from a eg hatch now am doing it on my eg hatch.

Bolt the change rod (or whatever it is called) to the tranny first, then to the frame.
Then put the extension rod in the tranny end first and then bolt the shifterto it.
Try that
