eg hatch stripped thursday morning-chicago north side
goddamn thieves. my hatch was taken from my street sometime after 1 in the morning on thursday, i found it at the impound yard at about noon that day. i would appreciate anyone keeping an eye out for the following parts that were removed:
jun header, slightly dirty, very small scratches on the bottom, missing donut gasket
16 rota slipstreams (gunmetal type color) with 205/45/16 dunlop sp9000's
badly sunfaded spoon carbon fiber hood, has hood pins, windshield sprayers ziptied to the underside, and chipped corners
spoon duckbill, has some scratches on the underside
94ish black cloth gsr passenger seat
momo formula steering wheel, horn buttons were not connected
del sol front brake calipers, neuspeed brake lines were cut during removal
skunk2 intake manifold for b16/c5
the thieves were also nice enough to take all of my tools that were in the trunk, i had several airguns, a small red air compressor with an orange air line, a matco torque wrench, and an assortment of sockets, pliers, etc. i doubt they will try to sell the tools, as they will make future chops easier.
to top off all the parts missing, the retard tow truck driver didn't use the handbrake before we left the impound lot, and as he stopped by the front gate, the car rolled into the headache bar behind the cab, breaking 2 taillights and denting the lower trunk section. so now the glass will not close. i watched him do this, and all i could do was take down his insurance information, after paying for the tow. good stuff.
well i guess that is my rant at the moment. thankfully a few friends are helping out with the rebuild effort, i will still be looking for some stock corner lights, steering wheel, dash plastics, passenger seat, and possibly the lower trunk section.

that's really shitty man. I'm pretty sure the moron that towed my car stole an xbox controller outta the back seat. That was the shittiest day of my life. I was in Seattle with a friend of mine and my car gets towed with all our **** in there. (I live in Winnipeg, which is just north of ND/MN, so we couldn't just walk home.) To make things worse, the yard was 86 f*ckin blocks from where we were (near space needle) and we had to WALK THE WHOLE F*CKIN WAY!!! We didn't even have money for the impound fee, nevermind a cab or bus. (It was labor day so the banks weren't even open and the bank machines wouldn't take our cards.) When we finally got there we used all the american $$ we had and I had to bargain with the guy and convince him to let me pay the rest with canadian $$. I have no idea why i posted that here ... Not nearly as shitty as losing the car for good. If i ever catch a car thief I'll beat him up and steal his wallet, then find out where he lives with the info in the wallet and jack his ride. Then i'll tell you about it and you'll feel a tiny bit better

im a few blocks from wrigley field until my lease is up in august
i think i will try to put it back together with some donated parts from friends and try to sell it. the parts are easy to find, unfortunately, all the tools gone will turn into a bigger headache. oh well.
