Eg hatch: idle control help.
Hey, my 94 eg hatch when started idles up and down constantly. The person i bought it from told me he put a new idle control sensor in it and that ever helped. can this be caused by anything other then the sensor?
thank you.

are you sure he replaced it? have you checked? its called the IACV its on the back of your intake manifold, if you have checked it then check your FITV(i think thats how it is spelled), it may need to be cleaned
if that doesn't work you may have a vaccum leak
if that doesn't work you may have a vaccum leak

make sure you bleed the coolant system thoroughly too, ive seen a good bleeding cure this problem a few times. definately clean the fitv and reset the screw in it and check the iacv for dirty screens.

TPS TPS TPS TPS TPS. always the TPS first. I wasted almost 200 bucks replacings the IACV first and it was the 30 dollar TPS that was the problem.
