do eg hatches come with air bags?

92-93 Came with driver side airbags:

94-95 Came with driver side airbags and passenger side airbags, notice the bump on the passenger side on top of the dash:

Correct

Canadian 5th gen civics (the ones sold in canada, not necessarily made there) often have no airbags at all. They are reasonably easy to remove.
