EG Hatch with 98 b18b1 wont start after MAP Sensor RECONNECT HELP PLEASE!
Hey guys,
so yesterday I did a buncha of maintenance stuff of my car. Took out the IACV and cleaned it out, Speed sensor and cleaned and refilled my tranny with fluid, took off the TPS and put it back on. Turned car on and everything was perfect. Then I decided the Disconnect my 2.5 Bar Motorola MAP sensor to relocate the wire then reconnected it EXACTLY as it was before. Now car will start and immediately shut down (within a few seconds). I tried everything to figure out what is causing that. I have a chipped ECU and it came with the 2.5 BAR sensor so i did not replace anything. Everything worked until I touched the MAP sensor and the car is now NOT starting. Could it be that I have damaged something? Are those MAP sensors that unreliable? Is there a way I can test to see if its damaged to get a new one? Any help would be reallly appreciated. Thanks!

Does the CEL work, that is on for 2 seconds and then off when key is turned to ON(II)?

Yes it does bling then goes away when I start the car there is no CEL but car shuts off within a few seconds.

Will the car say running if you leave your foot on the gas????Sometimes you might have to bleed the IACV (if you took it out completely), it might cause a problem if there are air pockets (where the coolant line goes into the IACV)

Actually the car will shut down quicker if it put my foot on the gas, but yes I did take the IACV completely out and flushed it out. How do I get rid of air pockets??

Check the mechanical timing.
If you spray starter fluid into the throttle body, does the engine run longer?
