EG guys..Integra dash..Has any done this?
Okay, my little bro is trying to fit a 94-up integra dash into his 92 civic . I've seen this done before but we're not sure how those people got theirs into the car. Can anyone who's done this help out?

you need to use the teg door panels and cut a tinyyy bit around the steering column. im putting one in my 92 dx right now. also putting a jdm type r front end on it . been working on it for a month should be done in a few weeks.
the dash harness to the new dash needs to have some wires repinned in the right locations

Re: EG guys..Integra dash..Has any done this? (drunknbass)
i just finished my swap today. it was a pain in the ***, i would never do it again. however, if you have no life and want to have your car up on jackstands for a week then by all means.....
i am in the process of writing up a "how-to" since there's SO many people that ask this question (including me before i started) anyways, i will post up the how-to as soon as i finish it.

No but you need to cut the teg panels and the match them to civic panels
The integra door panels are too short to mount to a civic door, and the handles are in the wrong place. So you would have to cut the panel in half and extend it by adding fiberglass, then you would need to fill the hole where the original doorhandle went and cut a new hole for where the civic handle is gonna come out.
I don't know about you but, I wouldn't even go through that much trouble when you can just cut the civic one, then re-vinyl it and it will look plenty good. Anyway, that's just my opinion.

Wow, great responses. We bought a 4dr and thought that was the problem, but it's exactly the same as the 2dr. That didn't really stop my bro from buying his Type R dash though. So I have an extra one to sell. If you guys can, I'd love to see a dash write up. I would've searched, but the search doesn't really work right now. Oh, and fiberglassing the doors is not a biggy, I get free supplies from my older brother. Keep me updated please. thanks

someone posted awhile back about the door panel problem. you can heat the door panel up carefully with a heatgun (for paint stripping, not a hairdryer) and then close the door with the dash already finished. if the panel is plyable enough it will mold itself to the new dash.

Re: EG guys..Integra dash..Has any done this? (Malachi)
the wiring is easier than most people think. here's what i did. YOU CAN USE THE INTEGRA HARNESS. you take the three main harness plugs (for both dashes) and compare them carefully. you will notice that the blue and green plugs for both dashes are nearly identical. the green one is the same for both cars (although there are xtra wires for the teg for abs and cruise control i think) anyhow, you have to only rewire one wire on the blue plug (integra). the only plug you have to redo is take the civic plug and splice it into the teg harness. i will post pics later but basically, you just match wire colors. Also, one or two of the wires are different, so i used the guage cluster color diagram from an earlier post to compare them.
Basically, as long as you rewire that one plug from the civic onto the teg harness, and rewire that one wire on the blue teg plug, you will be fine. Everything will work ( for honda who keeps wiring colors mostly the same over 10+ years)

Thanks, so how did you get your door panels from not bouncing on the dash. It'll save us the headache we can just make it fit. I'll try the heat gun, but I'm not sure it'll work.

right now im not running w/doorpanels. i haven't had time to use the heat gun on the doorpanels yet. i'm pretty sure that the heat the panel and slam the door shut method would work fine. (people have done it) i have no idea as to wether or not the teg doorpanels would work. i dont' think so, but you can try it if you have it lying around im sure.

putting inthe integ dash into my EG was a head hurting trama, if you switch out the heater core box, it should slide rite in. Also you have to relocate the side bracket.
As for the door panel, you have to either melt it with a heat gun ( i tryed that n it melted a peice of my dash when i close it, to mold it in) or you have to cut the panel (that what i did, and i fabricated the missing part of the panel with card board and plastic glue and bondo to smooth it out. then i cover it with tweed. Had alot of good comment on my custume door panel .
Good Luck

The teg door panels will not bolt up to the EG doors. They are too narrow for the civic. And also they are too short. What I recommend is cut your panels to fit then have them reupholstered.

Re: EG guys..Integra dash..Has any done this? (mushuxonxfiya)
does anyone have the gap on the side of the dash between the car and dash? or does the dash not go up to the windshield all the way down? i am having these problems with mine and was wondering if this can be corrected. i have searched and no pics or instructions have mentioned this and i have removed the heater core and it still doesnt fit just right?
