Default EG front brakes won't release

92 CX

My brakes will not release (non-abs). My fluid was fairly low but there was some left. I've never heard of this happening but I'm assuming that it's the master cylinder because it's both front brakes (rear seem fine though). Anyone know for sure?

If it is the master cylinder I'm assuming that something got into the brake system and destoryed it. How can I clean it out (after replacing MS)?

Thanks.

Were new pads/rotors recently installed? Your brake hoses are probably collapsed. To check them you remove the bolt that holds it to the caliper. Be careful not to lose the brass crush washers (there is one on each side of the hose). If no brake fluid comes out the end of the hose, replace it. Also inspect your caliper piston and the bracket slide pins for proper movement.
