Default EG factory shift light constantly blinking?

Ok so some of the eg clusters came with the factory shift light(green up arrow). A friend of mine has one and says the shift light is now constantly blinking. Anyone have any ideas?

yeah i have a CX and it goes off pretty damn early. unless its going off at random like i said before, tell him to shift.

if u floor it past the shift light it will go off but if u let off the gas and let it rev down it will pop back on

it just lets u know when the best time is
