Icon2 EG engine light,fault code 0 (faulty ecu) ??

hi does any 1 know why my ecu would give out this fault code?

the car drives perfect, starts perfect.im thinking it could be down to a chip on the ecu?>

(maybe 1 of them cheap 1z off ebay that takes the rev limiter off but im not sure because it came like that when i bought it)

and i cant remember if it was fine first or not, i changed my dash bulbs n noticed the engine light bulb was missing, i ASSUMED it fell out some how because of the stiff ride and think i remember it coming on n off as normal in the beginning but does any 1 have any idea what it could be?

ive done a search but haven't come up with any thing,

well thats depends on if its OBD 1 OR OBD 2...ie long flashes means 10 ie 2 long flashes mean 20 then 2 short quick flashes mean 2..so 22.....they both have different ways of letting you know.

mines actualy a code 0 coz i had it hooked up to a machine n thats the code it gave...faulty ECM.

yeah its a OBD1 the reason i asked was because the speed sensor went out and i knew that would throw a code but I know thats not whats wrong with my EG.

your ecu could have a burnt circuit, got grounded, got wet and damaged some of the circuits...it could be a variety of things. have you taken it apart and looked at it? if it has a cheap ebay chip then that could have prob done something to it.

could be a burnt circuit, dont think it got grounded or wet or physically damaged...i think it was the ebay chip n the light was on from the beginning but the bulb for the check engine light was removed.iv had the car a year n its been running ok but i noticed the light n decided to 'replace the bulb' only to find there was no bulb in there at all lol!

i think its probs the chip coz it seems to be running fine.just got me paranoid
