Eg Ek seats
I have searched and haven't found what I am looking for. I want to put ek seats in my eh3. I was able to swap rails on the passenger side, but not the driver. Now that both seats are in I have noticed that the driver side sits higher. What do I have to do to swap over the rails? I couldn't figure out the side with the tilt *****. What do I have to do to get the plastic cover off?

Re: Eg Ek seats (MurdersV8s)
If you swapped rails on the psngr, the driver should not be too much harder. If you're asking about the plastic trim cover along the outboard rail, it should be fairly simple.
I don't own an EK but I've done some EG seats. I believe you just pop the screws, pull the tilt handle off (using your elbow to brace the seatback, pull the tilt handle up, and then pull harder once it's up. The trim handle cover should slide off after some effort.) Once that is removed, take the trim cover and slide it aft, towards the trunk. I believe it kind of 'hooks' over the hinge coil for the seatback, if it is like an EG seat.
Once the trim is all off, the rail swap should be similar to psngr side. You can try to swap just the lower rail portion, held by nuts on the larger assembly, or the whole assembly itself, held by the horizontal 12/14mm bolts in the seatpan and seatback. Either way, you might have to take a dremmel grinder or something and widen some of the slots, or worst case drill new ones.
If you take the whole assembly and find the seat doesn't line up with the mounting holes in your car afterwards, loosen the seatpan and mounting bolts so both rail assemblys are a little loose. Put it in the car and use muscle/prybar to get each mounting bolt started in the floor. (When doing this on a lude-civic swap I had to use some longer than stock seatpan bolts to get the flex/position I needed)Then tighten the seatpan/rail assembly bolts, and then do a final torque of the seat mounting bolts. If you have some serious tilt issues when you're done, try using some large washers under one or two of the seat mounting bolts to level everything out, just don't use so many the bolt can't thread tightly anymore.
Hope that makes sense, and hopefully helps,

if your talking about the two ***** that make the bottom part of the seat tilt,
there are U shaped rings that you have to slide off... keep turning the **** until you see it and get a pair of pliers and just push and pull them off.
the ***** should come off easily after that.

Re: Eg Ek seats (yoej8)
Exactly what I needed thanks. The seat bolted up fine before, but my head would hit the roof or side pillar. Hopefully after switching the rails I should be sitting lower then before. Thanks again.
