EG driverside mount?

Default EG driverside mount?

What tool(s) do I need to change this mount and how hard is it? Its not broke but the rubber inside is starting to come out..BTW eg with b16

very easy to change as long as you properly support your engine. try not to hold it up using the oil pan!!!

ok, there is one 17 mm bolt going straight through the mount (the rubber part of it) and either 2 or 3 bolts/studs with nuts holding it to the engine side mount bracket.(depends which mount bracket you have bolted to your engine, i think the SIR has 2, my GSR has 3) Undo all of them with the engine properly supported, put your new mount in place, and bolt it back up. Easy as pie.

Not sure if it would be the same as yours, but on my 99 civic I unbolt the mount and the motor stays in place. What you can do is put a piece of wood on top of a jack and have it jacked up just barely touching the bottom of the oil pan.

a 2x4 works well with a jack...

you can use the 2x4 so that it touches the outer lip of the pan, where the pan touches the block. It will have the solid block behind it for support if you are scared of bending the pan. Really though if you just get a flat piece of wood and put it on your jack and support the bottom of the oil pan (after you remove your header) you will not have any problems with it crushing. The other 2 mounts will still be taking most of the weight. So figure only 1/3 of your motor's weight will be on the jack, but the wood distrubutes the weight evenly across the entire bottom of the pan. If you didn't use wood it would bend for sure.

Have fun cracking the flange of the pulley off then.

Just use the pan.
