EG driverside door can only be opened and locked/unlocked from the outside
Hello HT, can you help me by identifying which part of the locking mechanism that always tends to break with most EG's so I hear. My driverside door can only be locked/unlocked from the outside but not inside. The little plastic lock on the inside is loose and just spins around. Does anyone know which part causes this to happen? I'm trying to find out what it is called and a replacement for it. Thanks!

Re: Broken lock on EG
Go to Majestic Honda and search the catalog. Your description doesn't really paint a clear picture of what you're talking about. As to what causes it? Jeez. These cars are pushing 20 years old. It's called wear and tear.

Pull the door panel off to check whether the rod that connects the inner handle to the latch has fallen off.

^ this. I believe it pops in a plastic clip? It's been a while since I took apart the locking mechanism.

Yeah I was told that it was because of some plastic clip, that I can get for cheap. I'm going to open my door panel and see for myself. Thanks again for the help
