EG Dash-Top Center Vent Gauge Pods?
Looking for ideas on how I can fabricate some sort of a gauge pod holder in the top centre vent on the top of an EG dash (the vent that supposedly redirects air to the rear passengers). I was thinking something like that of a WRX/STi gauge holder. If anyone either has done it themselves or has links, I'd love to hear details and/or see pictures. TIA!

Something laying on top of the dash, molded into the vent underneath that digital meter in the picture. Looking for something like this (from an STi):

There's definitely nothing pre-fabbed for our cars, but I was hoping somebody has custom made one themselves and can just offer me some pointers (ie. mounting points, mounting brackets, finishing touches, etc) or has any pictures to give me ideas.

Re: (badboyr66)
^^ Thought of that one already, but I'd like to have my stereo and temp controls all within easy reach. Besides, I was hoping to fill up the double DIN slot of the centre console one w. the Taurus cupholders and the other with a DIN pocket for excess junk, if I ever do buy the centre console that is.
And to answer the obvious question, no, I'm not a fan of the a-pillar gauges. Thanks to those who might come up with that idea though!

Would be extremely easy to make.
Just attach it to the top center vent and build it up from there. If you ever need to remove it, it will remove just like the stock vent.

cool deal. will have to look into that. thanks man.
so looking at the pic of the sti gauge pod, are theirs removable? if so, i would think we could modify it to fit ours somehow and if done right, should look pretty good.

yeah, exactly. if they were cheaper i'd already have one. but then again, if i can spend 180 for a j's racing replica lip, i can spend over 100 for a jdm audio console at some point. im just more focused on my integra right now.

Pretty much what I was thinking of doing, but I'd still need to start from a base first to mold from. Unfortunately, my build-from-scratch fiberglassing skills aren't quite there yet.

I would think their pod holders are removable; my posted pic from the STi was from an eBay link that sold a different style of gauge pod holder for the car. Unfortunately, the "good" quality ones sell for over $100!
