Default eg cluster wiring question

ok so i bought a eg hatch shell and it was missing the cluster when i got it, i assume the car is a 5spd but the only signs of it being a 5spd is the clutch pedal but that could have been installed somewhere down the line, anyway the reason i have doubt is because i had a old auto cluster in the garage that i decided to install until i find a manual one so in the back of the automatic cluster theres a extra spot for a plug for the shift light(P R N D D3 D2...) and my bubble also has this plug so does that mean my car was an auto before or are all manual cars prewired for that? the plug is green and it has 14 wires....anyway thanks guys

i think they are all prewired for auto

easiest way to tell if auto or manual is look at the pass tranny mount holder NOT THE REMOVABLE mount

manual is flat across the top

auto tilts up torwards hood ever so slightly

Auto would also have extra plugs under your shift boot.

No, they're not pre-wired. It probably was an Auto, but even the presence of that wiring is not a sure thing. The VIN will tell you. For Hatchbacks, 7th digit: 3 = MT; 4 = AT
