Default eg cluster bulbs

I want to change the bulbs in my cluster and i searched for the bulbs needed, but some say eg clusters use 5 #24 bulbs and 1 #74 bulb. Some posts say to use 6 #74 bulbs. So which is correct? I want to change mine to blue leds along with the climate control.

TIA

Default Re: eg cluster bulbs

You can use either of those bulbs in your cluster. The #74 bulbs are a fatter bulb but the wedge base is of the same measurements as the #24 bulb. The only difference is the size of the "fatness" of the actual bulb surface.

On my 1993 Del Sol Si the #74 bulbs are a direct fit replacement. Given that you are using an EG chassis model your bulbs should be the same as mine.

If you want to purchase just the wedge bulbs but with LED's instead of filaments you can do that by going to:
www.superbrightleds.com

They sell a full line of LED's that are designed to replace your factory filament bulbs.

Check out my How-To on replacing the bulbs with LED's over at SuperHonda.
