Re: the EG+ Civic weight thread (litterbox)
year: 1992
type: hatch
trim: Si
weight: without driver = 2450
engine code: b16a
this was street spec, with full interior, stereo, etc.
The car was gone before I had the chance to strip her down.

Re: the EG+ Civic weight thread (SOHC[CX])
year: 1992
type: hatch
trim: CX
weight: 2010lbs
engine code: B18C5
basic weight reduction list:
No interior panels
No tar
No wiper motor or arms
No radio at all
No rear seats, belts, or carpet
No carpet at all
No firewall mat
Aluminum A/C mount
CTR race pulley
8.5lb Spoon wheels
C/F hood
Things that add weight to the car:
Integra-spec brakes
Wide integra radiator with fan
I've still got the airbag steering wheel itself to remove, and i need a lightweight battery. That'll get me into sub-2000 territory.
P.S:
I still have my bumper bars too, along with full glass.

No dude, I'm talking about my front windshield wiper motor/arms.
I removed the plastic colwing piece and just unbolted the motor, linkages, etc.

My thoughts exactly. Sounds like someone's scale was wrong.

There should not be an actual motor in there. It should be an empty plastic casing where the motor would go.
