Default EG Civic - fuel pump won't prime (solved)

Hi guys.
I've got a b16a2 engine from an eg civic in my kit car.
I'm not getting spark or fuel pump priming. The ecu and main relay are tested and good, but I've made a mistake with the ignition wiring.
The main relay isn't getting a switched live signal when I turn the key to the 2nd position.
I'm wondering if its possible to run a feed directly from the ignition barrel to the switched live pin on the main relay?

Will this work? And will I get spark and fuel?

Fuses are all good. Its a problem with my wiring from the ignition barrel to the fuse box.
If I run a direct switched live to the corresponding pin on the main relay, will this work?

The ignition switch only has about what.......4 wires going to it back to the fusebox.....how could you screw that up?

Yes it would work, but fuse the lead and disconnect the existing 12V switched lead going to the PGM-FI Main Relay, just in case it is shorted out.

The above is a jimmy rig and would work, but I would find and fix the problem.
Keep in mind that fuse may also power other things, like the FPRS and EGR valve 94

That's exactly what i was thinking!
I continuity tested everything and it all seemed fine. I was pulling my hair out trying to figure this out and just thought F*** IT! I'll just bypass the problem.

When I was removing everything I knocked the Main relay and tried it again, and it worked.

It turns out my wiring was fine, the main relay was bad after all.
I tested the thing 3 times and it was ok. Turns out that when I was bench testing it (horizontally) the dodgy solder was making contact, but as soon as i installed it back in the car (vertically) the solder lost contact and wouldn't work!

Well it's not exactly a kit car. It's more like a monstrosity of my own making.

It's a Citroen Ax. It has 2 turbo B16 engines. One in the front for the front wheels and one in the rear.
