EG brake upgrade question
I scored a 98 Integra GSR that was smoking and ive stripped it all down...so the entire suspension is going into my 95 cx hatch...I took the MC/Booster combo out of the Integra but will the proportioning valve work? And if not what valve do I need to source...The car is ABS which is my concern..I just don't know if it will make any sort of difference since I'm not running ABS on the hatch
Thanks in advance for the help

Re: EG brake upgrade question
No it looks completely different from the one you need. You need a Prop valve off a non abs integra so a rs teg. Look in the Suspension section for which civic has a 40/40. I am using the stock 30/30 in my VX hatch and I have no issues with the rear locking up before the front. I stop on a dime with teg brakes front and rear. I think your CX might use a 30/30. You could try with your stock prop valve and see if you have any problems. I know this subject has no definitive answers because I have seen where it is recommended not changing your prop valve and just to use your stock one.

Yes you are right. You would need to re-bend the lines a little bit to work. Also a abs booster is thicker and sticks out further than a non abs causing more massaging of the brake lines to fit. One of the reasons I bought a 91 civic ex 4 dr 15/16 MC from rockauto. It bolts up to the stock civic booster and brake lines bolt up without bending

Re: EG brake upgrade question
ok one more...will the gsr prop valve work...I will just have to rebend the lines? or it won't work at all?
I guess what I'm getting at is I am already swapping the entire suspension, cradle and all over to the eg...I just want to make sure I get everything off the shell before I crush it...I don't want to throw anything away I might need...
