Hey Honda Gurus,

Strange problem I ran into. I swapped a d16z6 manual into my 94 auto d15b7. I read about wiring the clutch safety thing, the reverse lights, and tricking the ecu into thinking it is in park.

I looped the clutch safety

I looped the wires for the park situation

I left the reverse lights alone (not going to bother right now) and i DID NOT plug the loom from the tranny (reverse lights) into the wiring harness

I pulled the loom from the auto shift mechanism going to the loom you normall plug the wires into. I depined everything i didnt need.

anyway...

I went to connect the battery and the car tries to start up by itself (wont turn over) ... followed by a large cloud of white smoke and the wonderful scent of electrical burnnnnn.

This is coming from inside the car, drivers side, top corner. I got to see the smoke come from the point where the two pugs come out of the engine bay, connect to the looom, continue to the bigger thicker harness. At this intersection. It isnt the loom itself. After the loom (coming from the engine) these two connect into one bigger cable. It directly at the intersection.

Plzzzzzzzzzz help!
