Default EG alignment question...

Well, there is no really good place to put this, so I hope that I can get an answer here...

I have a H22A Hybrid EG with some decently sticky tires on it (BFGoodrich g-Force T/A KD's). My front passenger's side lower control arm is bent (so I can't have a proper alignment done), but I have a set of GSR front LCA's on order. I've put 550 miles on the tires so far.

The tires are still in like new condition. I really want to drive my car, but I don't want to mess up my good tires. How long do you think I can go before the tires start to wear funny? I'm not burning out or anything. I just want to do some normal driving. Should I be able to drive around for another 450 miles (1000 miles in total) without causing any permanent wear-damage to them?

Thanks in advance for the help

With those tires, you'd probably start seeing uneven wear soon. Just rotate your tires front to back so that the wear won't be just on one tire.

Damn...my real question then (I guess) is will putting 1000 total miles on these tires without a good alignment permanently mess up my tires even if I get my car aligned right around 1000 miles?

Thanks

1000 miles is enough to mess them up if the toe is bad. Throw your stock rims back on or something.

this is true i had my camber set right but my toe was off by over 1inch or whatever and it was wearing the inside of my tires out in like2 months.

Thanks guys I have put 550 miles on the tires so far, but that was all in only five days. The alignment doesn't appear to be too bad, but I know that it is not right.

I wish I could use my stock rims, but 13" steelies won't clear my GSR calipers in the front. My friend even gave me a set of 14" CRX rims, and those didn't even clear the front calipers.

I've had the tires off of the car, and I inspected them and found no wear at all...at least abnormal wear. However, if I do drive the car (just normal cruising), I won't take it over 1000 miles before I get my alignment.

My control arms should be here early next week, so at the latest that is when my alignment will be fixed. More first-hand stories would be appreciated

Well ****! Should I risk it on $130 tires? I'm leaning towards just cruising since the tires are fine now after 550 miles, and I don't plan on putting more than 1000 on them before the car is aligned. It's a hard choice

A buddy of mine go into a fight with a curb and the curb won. Bent his LCA's, and unknown to him at the time bent his subframe a tad out of whack. He replace the tires and lca's, but due to the subframe he ate through his front right tire in almost 2 weeks. I wouldn't risk it. Just put on some spares
