not worth it, since its same size as GSR, LS. on top of that, u will also need to change your wheel.

the 4x114 setup is a lot lighter than the 5 lug. the 5 lug is about 50 lbs heavier. while there is more stopping power w/ the 5 lug, civics are a pretty light car and the 4x114 is a noticable upgrade from stock. with the 4x114 you can still run 13 inch slicks, which in my opinion is a huge bonus. To run the JDM 4x 114 master cylinder, you'll need to bend the brake lines which go into the master cylinder, and on one of the brake lines you'll need to put a different fitting and have it reflared.

I can't live without my 5-lug, this is the second car I've swapped them to.

although the 4x114 would be lighter than the 5 lug, it is not lighter than the stock Civic brakes. From the sound of this you care about drag racing so why upgrade the brakes? The stock civic brakes will stop just fine in quarter mile situations. In this situation, that conversion would just make the car heavier! IMO the 4x114 is not the ideal swap for Civics the LS/GSR brakes are cheaper and you maintain the stock 4x 100 offset.

I'd like to see some proof that 1" worth of rotor and 1 lug extra per corner = 50lbs. I someow mighly doubt that. Anyway, get the 5lug if you're going for looks and performance. A DC integra 4 wheel disc swap will work great and you'll have enough $$ left over to put on a 11" 4 piston wilwood brake stup on the front, compared to hte price of 5 lug. 4 x 114 is going to be tough to find decent wheels for.

im more in to road racing than drag racing, but it's really for my daily driver

i can get a beyond sweet deal for the set plus the jdm itr rims new tires

so my only concern is that i will be stuck with the car half apart find out i need a line or a bolt or something .. any suggestion on parts ill need?

I think that if you want something different, while upgrading your braking system, go for it. It depends on the driving and engine setup. I know that with my EH3, I did not want the 5 lug, simply because I'm running my Z6, and need as light of parts as possible, also, the bigger brakes and bigger wheels are gonna slow me down even more with the lack of C5 torque.

to be honest i nned to change the rotors on the front anyways and a couple of other reasons to but i can always do a 5 lug later if i want.. but i just wanted to know if there where any direct issues i would run into

743,

the caliper, rotors, wheels together is about 50 lbs, it could be up to 10 pounds lighter, but hey I gave an estimate, so give me break. the 4x114 wheel is amazingly light, and never underestimate the wieght of cast iron, which is what the rotors and calipers are made of.

ejcivic,

While the stock brakes are fine for a 13-14 sec car going down the 1/4 mile, I think you wouldn't say the same thing if your car trapped at over 120 mph. but honestly the stock civic brakes suck.
