Re: EG (1992 to 1995 hatchback) civic brake conversion?
If you have a car with ABS you will need the donor car to have ABS for it all to work. Well at least for the rear trailing arms.
Parts required:
Rear trailing arms with all brake hardware (rotor, caliper, brake lines) along with e-brake cables from DA integra, DC integra or EG civic (Si model). Buy new brake pads and replace/resurface the rotors.
You CAN run the booster/MC you have in there now, but it is highly recommended to replace that as well. EG Si MC will bolt right up. DC teg will require replacing the booster as well. NOTE: A DC2 teg with ABS will require bending a hardline and replacing one of the fittings with a 10mm. So try and get the RS w/o ABS if you go this route.
You CAN run the proportioning valve you have in your vehicle now however it is HIGHLY recommended to replace it with a 40/40. Find this on a DA teg (not all of the firewall mounting points will line up but otherwise it bolts right in) or a EG Si prop valve will bolt right in and all three firewall mount points will align.
Bleed and flush the whole system and you are good as gold.
