Default EF Tein S-tech on EG sedan 4dr?

I just bought some practically brand new EF Tein S-techs for barely anything.

Can I throw them on my 95 sedan? Do I need anything else?

I heard it will completely slam my car. Is that true? (I don't want it very low as this is my daily)

...the seller told me they were for EG but when I got there, they were for EF models. I bought them anyway though.

Does anybody have any pictures of EF lowering springs on EGs? It would be nice to see what the outcome may be.

THANKS!

From what I've read, they'll work with the EF front fork, but you'll see ~2" more drop than advertised.

I've been reading the same kind of thing too :-(

I'm absolutely not looking for a slammed ride. I want something that rides like stock but with a tiny little drop to differentiate it from the 4x4 stock ride height.

Looks like these EF Teins I got are gonna get put up for sale.

Don't even bother with eBay coilovers. They're junk.

Neuspeed SofSport, rides like stock with a 0.75" drop. The Sport springs are 1.75" drop. Tein H-Techs are about 1.2" drop.

I'd personally go with the H-Techs. It's nothing crazy but it'll lower it enough to your liking.

I wish I had money to throw away on a hunch. Even if it's "next to nothing". And registered since '05 does not make you a Honda "***".

Of course Ebay coilovers will raise the vehicle. Look at any auction and it will plainly state as much.

Holy sand in your vag... i can tell you anything about 3sgte's if you'd like. Go eat a dick.

Anyways, i was thinking of using the sleeve part of those cheap coilovers and pairing them with the EF teins that I got. Win?

As long as you don't mind the risk of the sleeves giving out, sure.

The coilover springs in eBay kits are like 15cm in diameter. stock springs are bigger in diameter, you'd need custom perches. Theoretically it's doable. Practical? Not so much. Just sell them and go with proper EG springs.

Aside: Wanna help me with a 3S swap into an 87 MR2 T-Top?

S tech's are already too soft for the amount they drop. Dropping it more could introduce interference issues.

The springs should fit the 95 without an issue though.

Yea, I don't want a slammed ride at all. This is my daily and I still want it comfy but slightly lowered. Anything but the stock ride height. Even a 1" drop makes a huge difference when it comes to aesthetics.

Sorry, SaberLily. I don't know much about AW11's. They're neat little cars and I hope to get one someday. But I'm an SW20 guy. However, I do know that if you want to stuff a 3sgte into the aw11 chassis (or also called an MR2 mk1.5), you'll need this kit:

http://speed-source.net/?wpsc-product=3sgte-mk-1-5-swap

That's as much as I know. But a 3sgte into an aw11 should go like stink! Short wheelbase, mid-engine, rear wheel drive, ~2000lbs, and 2.0L turbo; what's not to like!? Goodluck on the project and be sure to head over to mr2oc or mr2.com for all your informational needs.

Thanks, good to hear from somebody with ACTUAL experience.

Yea, I think I'm just going to sell these. Like stated earlier, I only want a very mild drop with stock like comfort. It looks like these Teins are going to have to hit up the local classifieds, unfortunately.

Thanks for the non-douchey helpful replies.

Throws money away on parts he cannot use without verifying beforehand. Not smart. Suggests running crap Ebay parts to try and "fix" the mistake. Again not smart. These kinds of choices are not only the realm of Honda owners for certain and definitely not good car sense period. No matter what car you drive. Win? Lose. Big time. Other H-T people take note. Be informed and do things right the first time.
