Ef springs on Ek

Re: Ef springs on Ek
Safe as in daily driving, the brand is Megan and I don't know the spring rates because my buddy picked it up from a pick in pull when he first got his ef then switched to coilovers

Spring rates are defined by weight distribution.
Assuming the EF springs will fit, the ride quality will depend upon the difference between the weight distributions of the two vehicles.
In general. the EJ weighs about 1,000 lbs more than the EF, so you can expect a more "squishy" ride with EF springs.
Your car will probably bottom out the springs when going over bumps, etc.
I would advise against using EF springs. Try to find springs that are closer to your vehicle's weight and weight distribution.
Again, the weight distribution will depend upon your chassis.
I'm happy to walk you through the calculations, if you're interested in the engineering aspect of it. Otherwise, just buy the correct springs for your ride.
