Default EF Shell for 100$

it's a 1991 White Dx 4 Door, it's 100$ with the blown engine, the body is alright, (I guess, average rust above wheels)

I'm thinking of putting in a ZC engine ( I don't want to get into Vtec wiring) and i have never done a swap before.

The only problem is storing it, this car would be for my girlfriend. and she can't store it either, and since I already have 2 EGs, my parents wont let me get a 3rd car (D'uh!!)

so should I jump on this deal anyways ?

You are worried about VTEC wiring...that's pretty lame if that's the only thing holding you back from doing a VTEC motor swap. Honestly, running an additional 4 or 5 wires is not hard. Me and Sander have done about 7 or 8 swaps and trust me, wiring VTEC is not the hardest part. Deal with the shift linkage bitch-pin, you will be begging for the easy task of wiring VTEC then

the LS is too expensive for her,

the ZC is still a DOHC with 130 horses, this is her first car, I'll do jsut fine

Are you actually going to work on it and get it registered and have her drive it, or is it just going to sit there?

I'd leave it alone even though it is a good deal... because you're talking about "storing" it. Just let your girl drive the other EG around.

I'm storing it for the winter, casue I'm expecting this to take a while since I'v never done this, and I'm not swapping an egine in sub zero tempature, plus she has no money right now, so by summer time she'll save up. and she jsut got her temporary license like last week, so she wont be able to drive it for a other 8 month anyways,

and I'm only driving 1 of my car too, my nice mint red one is also stored for the winter, I'll be getting it out as soon as I sell my auto teal EG.

You say you "don't want to worry about VTEC wiring," but you obviously don't realize that the DPFI-to-MPFI wiring conversion required to run a ZC engine in an '88-91 DX takes more effort than running the extra wires required for VTEC.

Why bother? It's rusty, you don't have anywhere to store it, so you won't have anywhere to swap it, and you apparently don't have the motivation to run a few wires - so how do you expect to do an engine swap?

Yeah it sounds like a pretty good deal, but you said so yourself neither you or your girlfriend have a place to store it. Soooo if you did get it where the hell would you keep it?

Just buy it, make it run. Sell it for profit.
Hell with a running motor you could probably sell it at the swap meet for 10 or 15 times that $100 purchase price.

I jsut didn't think wiring Vtec was that easy,
and I can do the swap in my garage this summer, I jsut can't keep it there the whole winter, my dad's car goes in there. and at her house she would have to park it in the street for winter, and it's iligal to store a vehical on the streets. her brother had an old astro van, that was there for about 3 months and there lesbian neibors (who drive a 91 4Cylinder Mustang) in front called the cops and give him a 250$ ticket.

The shift linkage pin is ****** easssssyyy, just buy the tool from Honda to take it out. Wiring looks hard but once you see you have to run 4 wires from point A to point B, its that simple.

I had a 91 4dr with a ZC, it skooted but I would have rather done something with more TQ. Throw a B20z up in that bitch and spin through 3rd.

Sounds like somebody needs a air hammer! After i got done with like 8 swaps in like 3 months, I decided to take my profits and get a complete air tool setup! The best 800 dollars i have ever spent! Makes my life soooo much easier!
