Ef Owner with a Question for a Friend
Hey there. My friend owns a 1997 DX Hatchback (which would make it EK Civic??). He drove it for around 5 months then had a minor right front end accident. He's looking to fix it up peice by peice but including that he's looking for a new engine.
Now I assumed that a B18B would be a good swap for that car, but I work on EF/CRX's so i have nooooo idea what anything entails. Hydrolic Tranny? 2.0L Engines?? AHHH! https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...s/emsmilep.gif j/k He's not looking for super speed, and also an easy swap would be preferrable. I've done EF swaps, so it's not that foreign to me, but I don't know what fits what in these later models. So I guess what I'm looking for is the easiest/cheapest swap, with the best results! 1. Is B18B easy? 2. If not would a D Series Motor be a better idea for this situation? 3. Which D Series is good? 4. Which USDM Cars came with (sed) motor? Any help would be awesome. Thanks! https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif |
