I need an OEM radio for a 96 civic ex and a T harness so i can keep my current deck which is an "experimental" deck. I'm getting paid to use it for a year and notify if I find any bugs or problems. Besides a salvage yard. The ones here remove the radios. Anyone know if i'll have to get any new wires or anything, or where i can buy an OEM radio? </TD></TR></TABLE>
What do you mean "new wires"?

Your keyless doesn't work anyway, right? If you don't have the stock radio to begin with, it shouldn't work.

The harness can be found at most audio stores. Mention it and they should know. It's just plug in.

For the radio, check eBay or the MarketPlace. Those junkyards must sell the radios at some point after they remove them too. So look here too: car-part.com

installdr.com might have more information on the installation of an aftermarket radio with the stock radio included. I can't remember.

Only '96-'98 radios have the keyless brain in the radio. You can put a '99-'00 radio in your car (I have one), but it won't do any good in your situation. I just wanted that radio.

Not according to the factory ETM for my 99 EM1.....it says the keyless receiver is in the radio, which explains why when I put my Kenwood in, the keyless died out.

to your bad information too. I'm sorry, but you are wrong. Please verify your information before you post.

You are probably using the same FSM I'm using. It's for '96-'00, so it includes all those years.

Here's the pages from the factory service manual from Honda.

Not according to the manuals. All '99-'00 are the same. There was no mid-year change.

They're not. You have to wire in the '99-'00 radio. I have a conversion harness for mine. But it won't solve anything in the OP's situation.

Could have be coincidence or something got unplugged or reset somehow (I'm not familiar with the '99-'00 keyless system).
