Not sure if new guys can access it, but try the Forced Induction forum. I have seen a couple of posts there about it. From what I hear it owns. Very well put together setup.

Muruder has one, they are good kits if u have the money, the fuel is ok, im not a huge fan. If your looking for a kit, u don't have to upgrade much, go for it, they are gone down in price, I would still rock a custom over this, but for your 1st kit, it's not a bad buy

i was reading a magazine, maybe it was scc and they tested the SOHC kit and the blowoff valve stayed shut and they threw a rod. Am I correct or was i just in a daze while I was reading it?

Yeah really. All he could say before it blew up was "wow, it feels really fast for 7psi"

how would this kit compare to greddy's? my friend has one on his 99 ex and it pulls pretty good.. it's boosting around the same 0.7 bar and it comes with an e-manage now.

I have the Greddy kit that came with the E-Manage. The edlebrock kit is much more complete. It comes with new injectors, a new intake mani and other things that the base Greddy kit does not come with (such as IC and BOV).
EDIT: By the way, its a VTEC motor.

I like the Apexi turbo kit. Its a ball bearing IHI turbo. While other ones aren't ball bearing.

You gotta love thread stealers
You might not be able to post in the forced induction forum but up in the top right corner of your screen on this website theres a function called search.
Type in Edelbrock in recent topics or archived and you should pull something up.

edelbrock comes with a ball-bearing turbo. edelbrock kit is the best d-series kit out there. quality parts, comes with everything you need and even has a carb e.o number, so its street legal in all 50 states.

it's really a great kit, but for $3000 you could piece together a killer setup (gt28, hondata s200b, lovefab mani, etc etc). you've just got to do your own r & d.
i wonder how much all the parts in the kit actually cost...

Very true but a pieced-together-kit would be very hard to legally pass smog for people who live in smog test states, which is what makes Edelbrock's kit so good. I agree, though; I'd love to piece together my own kit for $3000, but unless I move out of CA, I don't see that happening. Some people are willing to return to a 50-state setup just to smog the car, but for those that aren't and want street legal turbo power for the D-series, the Edelbrock is pretty damn good.

That doesn't work, and wont work too much into the future.
I know a guy who has a late 70's car with a big engine in it. Put the stock engine in to smog it, since its newer than '73. He got caught by a 'smog check' machine on the side of the road and mailed a letter to have it smogged again. Put the stock motor back in and smog came back clean. They said the next time the roadside sniffer catches him dirty, he has to smog it within 24 hours. Pretty soon, everyone will have to worry about that, since they know people are just going back to stock setups to pass smog.

Last time I checked, I want to say that the gt28 ball bearing turbo was in the neighborhood of $1k by itself. Edelbrock put together a nice kit.

I got this kit. Very nice after all the hassle with the fucked up piggy back. Now that I have a working one, this kit owns. My friend has the greddy kit and I pull on him all day.

What did edelbrock end up doing with the piggy back system. Did they send you a new one with the understanding that you would send it back, or did you have to send back the messed up one and not have the car running?
