Default ECU's???

Does anyone here take out their ECU when they are leaving their car...if so and its a good way to keep your car from being stolen...how do you take them out...I got a 93 SI Hatchie...thanks

To take them out just unclip them. No ECU = no working motor. But weither its good for the motor, i have no idea.

seems like it would be easier to splice an on/off switch into a main ECU power wire.

cuz i know a few guys who do this with thir cars....just seein if anyone else does it...the one kid who does it had a 720HP Stealth TT

why not get a removeable steering wheel?? autolock? Alarm? battery kill switch?

Not gonna hurt anything, if it makes you sleep better at night then do it, underpassenger floor, just unplug and smuggle it inside

its located under the passenger like carpeting or under the car?
