Default ECU Wiring Question.

Here is my problem, I just recently got my ECU stolen out of my car and they had cut the wires. I bought another P28 here on HT with the plugs and I attempted to wire it up myself. I got it wired in but a bunch of wires didnt match up correctly.

I managed to get it to start up and run but it runs like ****. It sounds like its missing on a couple of cylinders but I checked and its hitting on all of them. My dad told me that it might be getting to much gas but I dont know how to check if it is or not.

Juat a little information on my car. Its a 1994 Honda Civic EX CPE and has D16Z6 w/stock P28 ECU Manual Trans. Nothnig is done internally, just intake, header and exhaust.

So here is my questions:

Does anyone have a wiring diagram so I can see what goes where, and to check what I have done right now?

Does anyone know why it could be running like this?

Could it be true that it is getting too much gas, if so, how do I cure it?

Any suggestions would be highly apppreciated because ans of right now my EJ1 is nearly dead in the water. Thanks in advance!

it sounds to me that maybe you dont have the right ecu or either you dont have the wires correct, go back and recheck everything, if you find on of those online helms manuals maybe you can find a wiring diagram id try searching around the site im sure that they have that around here somewhere, but id go and make sure all the wires are hooked up correctly, soldered and wrapped well also

what ^ said except the diagram isnt' going to do much of **** for you and use heat shrink instead of tape.

continuity test between all the sensors + injectors and the ecu plug would be the route I would go.

any cel's?

The numbers on the ECU I currently have wired in read: 37820-P28-A52
761-743036
Do you know if this is the correct ECU?

I just ran out there and checked for CEL's and it read a code 19:Automatic transmission lockup control valve. The basterd sold me an auto ECU!!

And if this is my problem is there a way that I can fix it or do I need a whole new Manual ECU?

Up to the top!

Is there a way to convert Auto ECU to Manual, or do you have to get a Manual ECU?
