ecu sohc v-tech
hey everyone.. workin on my turbo car.. recently purchaced a
1997 civic hx 1.6 d16y7 bottom end with a y8 head. with v-tech.
just wondering what ecu i can run...
currently in the car there is a p2N this is a NON v-tech ecu if i have read correct.
The v_tech ecu is the p2M.. ?
but my v-tech is still kickin in right where it should be... and im not throwing any CEL lights...
please share some info with me on what you know!

P2P is the correct ECU. How do you know it's the Y8 head? Could be the Y5 head with a Y7 block as both are VTEC. Take some pics with the valve cover off to confirm. The P2N is a VTEC ecu for the Y5 VTEC-E engine.

If you're boosting you'll have to get an OBD1 ECU that can be socketted and chipped to run a basemap at the very least. P28. YOu should not run a stock ECU on a turbo'd engine.
