Default ecu removal question

if i remove the ecu on my car, will i still be able to arm the alarm?

so does anybody know for sure? if ecu is removed? all power is cut?

as a installer......it depends on the install, and what wires are tapped....the ECU doesn't complete any circuits for the alarm.....b/c the alarm uses key-on, and constant power......the ecu has it own power source....it's like saying if i took my fuse out for the starter will my alarm still work.....

as long as the alarm is getting power and is grounded some where it'll still work....that's for aftermarket alarms........

but for factory it's a different story........
