Default Ecu options?

I have a 96 civic dx. D16y7 non vtec. I think I may need a new ecu and i dont want to spend $550 for a brand new one so my question is what ecu's could I use to run my car? Obviously the stock one but I mean other than that. Btw Im new to ecu's and playing with alot of electronics car wise so lamens terms plz lol. Thanks guys ur the best.

You can just get a used p2e here, for cheap...

P2e's are programmed to run the y7s smaller than usual injectors, so thats really the one you need.
NO running more fuel will not make your car faster/better.

Cause im a cheap *** broke white kid that needs to get his car running lol. Yeah i just dont have the money for bigger/better. Just need a new ecu to get it up and running. More fuel does too make you faster it gives you like 300 whp. I also like those NOS stickers that give you like 40 horses.......roflmao.

Hey would an ecu from a ex work? As long as its still p2e right?

it has to be from: LX, DX, CX
anything with a d16y7

This look to be about right? The car i have is a 96 and the motor is a 98 but this should work. Right?

Yes, thats right ---- it has to be obd2a/96-98 for you

OBD2A = 96-98
OBD2B = 99-00

Verify your ecu pins before buying anything.
Yours should look like:
